The Trade Waste Special Interest Group is made up of people
working within trade waste operation, supervision or management
of the wastewater industry. Please ensure that you check this
page occasionally for new information.
Membership of the Trade Waste Special Interest Group is open to all NZWWA members. If you're not receiving information for the Group and wish to belong, contact the Trade Waste SIG liaison.
If you are not a current member of NZWWA and wish to belong to the Group, joining is simple. Just visit our membership page for more information. Remember to tick the Stormwater box under ‘Special Interest Groups’ when completing the Membership Application form.

The Trade Waste Forum is a useful means for online discussions among Trade Waste Officers and members of the NZWWA Trade Waste SIG.
Join the forum. If you do not have a yahoo account this will help you create one and join the group. Alternatively you can send an email to tradewaste-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.

When you post a message it will be posted on the board and sent to the email address
of everyone in the group.
The Trade Waste Training Survey was carried out with the aim of identifying what aspects of Trade Waste training are currently available, how they are valued by people who work in the industry and looking at what areas for training are currently lacking.

INFRINGEMENT FINES
Information regarding fines for breaching a trade waste bylaw is now available. See the link below which covers the relevant information from NZS 9202: Part 23:2004 and from the Local Government Act 2002.
